Construction: Glass reinforced polyester thermoset housing. Yellow conforming to color No. 13655 of FED-STD-595.

Operation: Portable model uses only one 6 volt DC lamp, two 6 volt dry cell batteries. Relay operated model connects to shipboard power. When power ges off relay switches over to the dry cell and the lantern comes on. Intended for hallways, exits, lifeboats stations, etc.
