High Level Overfill Alarm Systems

Timco’s High-Level / Overfill (HL/OF) Alarm Systems are engineered to help tank barge operators meet strict regulatory requirements while protecting crew, cargo, and environment. These systems detect when liquid cargo reaches critical levels—triggering loud, visual alarms before spills or overfills can occur—and when paired with Timco’s real-time telemetry and GPS tracking, they become a must-have for any modern, compliant fleet.

Designed with simplicity in mind, Timco’s HL/OF solutions install easily using rugged quick-connect wiring, standard bolt patterns, and field-tested sensors. Whether you need a permanent panel mounted in your barge’s control station or a portable unit for multiple vessels, every Timco system is made for fast setup, reliable performance, and clear communication when it matters most.

HL/OF-1 Portable Mini

The HL/OF-1 Mini delivers the same compliant performance of the full-size portable unit in a smaller, more compact package. Designed for rapid deployment, it includes visual alarm indicators, a piezoelectric siren, and internal wiring designed for quick connect/disconnect to Timco sensors. It’s ideal for operations where space is limited but safety is non-negotiable.

Despite its size, the Mini doesn’t sacrifice reliability. Its sealed enclosure, long-life battery, and clear alarm indicators make it a smart choice for short hauls, rental fleets, or barge operations needing a compact backup system. Portable, dependable, and always within spec—this is peace of mind in a small case.

LFA-S

HL/OF Liquid Level Alarm Sensors

The LFA-S High Level/Overfill Liquid Level Sensor is USCG accepted and satisfies 46CFR 39.2009 (a) 2 requirements as part of your barge Overfill Prevention System when installed in accordance with 46CFR 111.105 for Hazardous Locations. UL FILE E540290

All stainless steel construction for mounting on a STD 8” flanged spool piece, typically 6”H.  The 316SS float is rated for pressure up to 120 PSI, and for light Cargo Viscosity down to 0.6 SG!  The Timco buoyant float design insures there is little to no Alarm Set Point variance with different SG Cargoes. Our UL Listed Hermetically Sealed NC latching Reed Switch provides long life and is interchangeable with all Level alarm sensors.

Intuitive Lift to Test Rod with rod seal and weather cover make it easy for Tankermen to test prior to every loading as required. The large SS weathertight junction box with Nickle plated Brass wire grip seals out moisture extending switch service life. Tested, serialized, with HL/OF Setting clearly stamped into the flange data tag,  expect years of trouble free service and safety with the LFA-S on your barge.

SG-612

Premium Rectangular Sight Glass

SG-612 is USCG Accepted and satisfies 46CFR 39.2003 (a) 2. Featuring a single 2” thick SS glass frame has superior strength, yet weighs only 53lbs. The Rigid mono frame design requires no torque wrench for fast simplified assembly without fear of glass breakage.

Glass surface is top flush, so water cannot pool or form surface residue. Deck mounting is taller for wrench access and has a standard bolt pattern for easy exchange. Our ¾” TK Borofloat glass assembly is fully interchangeable with current existing sigh glass frames for upgrade installations. Wiper arms, shafts, bushings handles and cartridges are all interchangeable for repair/upgrade use with existing sight glasses.

TB-RSG-8

8" Round Sight Glass

Designed for maximum clarity and visibility, the TB-RSG-8 gives tankermen a clean 8” vapor-free view of cargo without removing covers. Its machined aluminum or stainless body and borosilicate glass lens are sealed with PTFE bushings, creating a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant design perfect for harsh marine environments.

Every TB-RSG-8 is serialized and pressure-tested at Timco before shipping. Easy to clean and easier to install, this round sight glass gives peace of mind and operational visibility you can count on—especially during critical transfer windows.

GT

Radial Arm Gauge Tree

The TB-GT Gauge Tree is a highly visible, 316 stainless steel radial arm tree that improves tank gauging precision. Its design features 6” spaced indicator paddles to enhance visual depth perception from the deck, with mounting options for LFA-S sensors or HL/OF floats.

Fully compliant with 46 CFR and available in bolt-on or weld-on configurations, the TB-GT is a smart, rugged upgrade for tank barges needing better line-of-sight gauging. It’s another way Timco makes safety more intuitive—and visible—from the deck.

TSG-3937

Stick Gauge

Built for safe, reliable gauging, the TSG-3937 uses a magnetically coupled float system to move a tri-color gauge rod without exposing crew to cargo vapors. The result: clear, accurate tank readings without opening or venting the tank.

This gauge is built from anodized aluminum or stainless steel and comes labeled per customer specifications. High-temp and high-pressure options are available, and installation is compatible with Timco’s gauge trees or standpipe collars. It’s a smarter, safer way to stick your tank.

Timco-Radar

Timco Radar

Our FAST-SWEEP Radar TRANSMITTER FOR CONTINUOUS LEVEL MEASUREMENTS FREQUENCY MODULATED CONTINUOUS WAVE (FMCW) TECHNOLOGY is an intrinsically safe non-contact liquid level sensor made of 316SS with PTFE inner shield. For use with corrosive media and chemicals, tolerating light surface foam or agitation and higher temperatures to 482F or pressures to 363PSI.

Stuffing Boxes

Timco’s Superseal™ Stuffing Box uses multiple Teflon™ packing rings, a Teflon lantern ring, and our high-temp/low-flow suspension grease to maintain vapor-tight performance well above 8 PSI, provided the reach rod surface is smooth and true. Its exclusive gland design traps sealing grease around the rod, prevents over-tightening with a metal-to-metal boss, and delivers long service life through full 316SS construction.

Valve Components

While tankermen depend on simple handwheel operation to control below-deck valves, maintaining a vapor-tight seal at the stuffing box is critical to safe cargo transfer. Timco’s stainless steel deck stands, 316SS SuperSeal™ Stuffing Box, and full suite of tightly-toleranced operating components—couplers, yokes, levers, and rod ends—ensure rugged durability, corrosion resistance, and seamless compatibility across all major barge valve systems.

Pressure Gauges

The dry gauge features a needle with dampened heavy duty movement mechanism to eliminate pointer flutter in high vibration environments. This increases the life of the gauge, makes the gauge easier to read, and eliminates the potential for fluid to leak from the gauge. Gauge features a white painted aluminum dial, black printed figures, and black anodized aluminum pointer.
