Sight Glass 8" Round ASsembly
The TB-RSG-8 is an 8” round marine sight glass designed for use on tank barges and they are compliant with USCG regulations 46CFR 39.2003 (a) 2. With all stainless steel construction, it provides tankermen with a 56 sq/in viewing port to monitor liquid levels safely without exposing them to hazardous vapors. It is an essential tool for safe and efficient cargo transport.
Simple Practical Design
Our rugged 8” round marine sight glass is all stainless steel construction having Teflon lower glass seals providing exceptionally long operational life without vapor leaks. The glass surface is top flush so rain water can not pool on the surface. The bottom of our ½”TK Borofloat glass can easily be cleared by Tankermen using our glass wiper with Teflon wiper blade. Glass replacement is simple and easy without any special tools.
Tested & COMpliant
All TB-RSG-8 sight glasses are serialized and pressure tested. Parts are completely interchangeable with other 8” round sight glass models. The TB-RSG-8 satisfies 46CFR 39.2003 (a) 2 as a tank barge gauging device.

Dimensions
For mounting on STD 8” Flanges or spool pieces, this round sight glass is 13.5” OD x 3.15” H x 4.5”H. Other size round sight glasses available as special order only.
USCG Accepted
Satisfies USCG requirements as a gauging device 46CFR 39.2003 (a) 2. Also satisfies 46CFR 39.2014 permitting examination of vent headers for polymerized cargo.
