TSG-3937 Magnetically Coupled Rising Stick Gauge

REGULATORY COMPIANCE

The TIMCO Model TSG-3937 is USCG Accepted and satisfies 46CFR 39.20 3(b) as well as OPA 90 regulations for overfill devices

SAFETY

The reliable TSG-3937 provides the Tankerman with visual on-deck cargo level reference without exposure to harmful vapors greatly reducing the risk of cargo overfill spills. For best results, Tri-Colored Gauging Rods should be ordered and marked to reflect the mounting nozzle height and HL/OF Alarm sensor settings for each compartment.

EASY STANDARD INSTALLATION

The TSG-3937 Rising Stick Gauge mounts to an 8” 150LB Class Flange Spool piece, typically6” above deck. The spool piece location is best near the geometric center of each cargo compartment adjacent to HL/OF Alarm Sensors.

Spool piece welding to the deck should only be on the OD of the pipe and not on the inside of the spool piece to allow the SS float to pass without interference into the cargo tank.

SMALLER FLANGES OR THREADED COLLARS CAN BE PROVIDEDFOR RISING STICK GAUGE INSTALLATION ON TOWBOAT OR DECK MOUNTED FUEL TANKS

ALL STAINLESS CONSTRUCTION

The TSG-3937 is all stainless steel construction. The passivated 316SS Float is good for pressures up to 125PSI and light cargo specific gravity down to 0.6SG. Powerful long life magnets insure reliable float to rod coupling. Our strong lightweight Tri-Colored Gauge Rod is labeled to your specifications and is hermetically sealed in Kynar for extended service life. Sustained temperature rating for Standard Gauge Sticks is 265F and 450F for HT- High Temperature sticks.

CUSTOM TO YOUR BARGE IS STANDARD

The reflective Tri-Colored Gauge Rod graphic by TIMCO is computer printed as one graphic prior to encapsulation. This process allows for the colored lengths, numbering scale as well as High Level or Overfill Markings to be customized and correct for your barge providing Tankering personnel tools that are meaningful and safer than standard off the shelf one-size fits all gauge rods.

Simply bolt the TGS-3937 to an 8” flanged pipe stand located at or near the geometric center of the cargo compartment. The deck opening must be large enough for the 7” dia. float to pass through. TIMCO can provide optional prefabricated mounting standpipes, flange gaskets and mounting hardware upon request.
